Selecon’s most popular Fresnel for the smaller theatre, school hall, drama workshop and for display lighting. The adjustable cone of light has a soft edge, easily blended with adjacent beams to provide even illumination.

June 2007 – Selecon release a re-modelled Acclaim Fresnel which blends all the great features of the original, industry-standard 650W lens luminaires together with new design solutions, similar to those of Selecon’s more recent and very popular Rama range to deliver an improved standard of operator ease and safety.
Maintaining the same dependability and low maintenance delivered by all Selecon luminaires, automatic micro-switch disconnection from the mains power when opened and the isolation of electrical terminal connections from the heat to maximise component life the new Acclaim also offers improved filter life through increased airflow and little light leak around the filter holder.

They produce the same optical performance with the same wide beam angle ranges, using the same accessories with the functionality of the smooth judder free slide focus action, adjustable yoke and side opening access for quick, easy and safe re-lamping using the lamp ejector socket of their predecessors.

The beam can be shaped using the 4-door rotatable barndoor which has also been re-modelled - a moulded back frame rotates inside the colour frame runners holding the four masking flaps using a hinge tension design similar to that of the Rama barndoor.

This new barndoor accessory is retro-fittable to existing Acclaim Fresnels and PCs.
